How to master bath time
Some babies love the bath, others not so much — but with the right preparation, bath time becomes calm, safe and maybe even the highlight of the day.

Choose the right baby bath

Position the bath ergonomically
Stable, at a comfortable height — your back needs to survive bath time too. For the littlest ones, a bath cradle makes a big difference: soft, secure support in the water and both hands free.

Fill with water — 37 degrees
Use a bath thermometer or test with your elbow — comfortably warm, never hot. Have the towel ready before lowering your baby in.

Lower your baby in gently
Keep the head well above the surface. Avoid water on the face and eyes — the rinsing jug gives a soft, controlled flow.

Dry, moisturise — and cuddle
Dry carefully in all the little folds, moisturise with unscented baby oil — and finish with a warm bathrobe and a cuddle. That’s the part your baby will remember.
