Plastic

Everything we do, we do for our children. Which is why we place the highest demands on the plastics we use for our products in order to be safe and completely free of dangerous toxins. A large proportion of our plastic products are made of polypropylene (PP), which is one of the most common thermoplastics. Polypropylene provides great strength and can withstand high temperatures. It is, therefore, an excellent material for manufacturing, for example, baby bottles and food and beverage products. We can assure you that all our products are completely BPA-free. Read more about this below.

Glass

Borosilicate glass, also called refractory glass, is a material that has good formability, withstands high temperatures (up to 300 degrees), weighs little and is very scratch -resistant. It is, therefore, a perfect material for our glass baby bottles and makes them easy to heat up food in, feed children and to clean.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel is a material that can withstand high heat and retain heat for longer. Stainless steel is an iron alloy that contains chromium, among other things. This fusion gives the material a surface layer that protects against oxidation and corrosion (rust). Our range includes baby bottles, thermoses, cutlery and food thermoses made of SUS 304 Stainless steel.

Rubber

As well as plastic, several of our products also have elements of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE rubber). This can be found, for example, in the anti-slip feature under our plates, the gripping surface on our mugs and cutlery, or on the non-slip surfaces of our bath products. The main advantages of TPE are simpler conversion and good adhesion to other thermoplastics and lower energy costs compared to thermosetting materials.

Silicone

We use silicone for the seals of our products, teats, pacifiers and Twistshake mouse mats. Silicone is a heat-resistant, soft and water-repellent material that is available in both liquid and solid form and has, therefore, several different uses. Silicone is also a very simple material to clean and sterilize. Which is important in regard to daily use of our child and baby products.

Textiles

We mainly use polyester and cotton for our textiles. Polyester is used as a synthetic fibre in textiles. It has low water absorption, it is durable and comfortable against the body. Today, polyester is the world's second most used textile fibre, after cotton. Cotton comes from plants of the cotton genus and has good durability and can, therefore, be washed over and over again.

Our products are always free of

BPA

Bisfenol A (BPA) is one of the world's most common plastic chemicals. It is a hormone-disrupting substance that has been shown to elevate hormone levels and interfere with human reproductive capacity in the event of constant exposure. BPA is released when plastic is heated. For example, when heating porridge in a baby bottle or food on a plate or lunch box. Twistshake obviously follows all the rules and regulations that apply to dangerous toxins, and you be feel confident that our products do not contain BPA, BPS, BPF or other dangerous toxins.

Phthalates

Phthalates can be carcinogenic, endocrine disrupting and cause reproductive disorders in humans. They are currently completely banned in the EU. Today, all substances in the manufacturing of plastics are regulated by EU regulations. Which is why never use phthalates in any of our products.
